My name is Nuan Bai. I was born in Shandong, China, and now live in Los Angeles. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been drawn to robots, storytelling, and intricate urban environments—things that naturally led me to pursue concept design. I studied at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, where I honed my skills in world-building and visual storytelling.

Currently, I work as a Concept Artist at Nyan Heroes, focusing on environment design and crafting immersive worlds. I’m deeply interested in the technical side of 3D, including animation, materials, and procedural workflows. I love exploring how these elements come together to enhance storytelling and create rich, believable worlds. 

In my creative process, I use tools like Photoshop, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine, combining traditional artistic sensibilities with the latest digital techniques. I love collaborating with people across different disciplines and bringing ambitious ideas to life!

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and listening to music. To me, cooking is a lot like game design—it’s about combining different elements in just the right way to create something greater than the sum of its parts, like executing a well-timed combo move. I also share my home with a very talkative black cat named Zorro, who insists on telling her "opinions" about everything.
